Mid-Maine Technical Center is a career/technical center located on the campus of Waterville High School. Mid-Maine TECH offers area high school students twenty-six technical courses to area high school students. All courses have been approved for 3 high school graduation credits.

Mid-Maine Technical Center courses are offered in two blocks, morning and afternoon. While specific arrival/departure times vary slightly from school to school, the general schedule is as follows:

AM Block: 8:25 – 10:45   /   PM Block: 11:20 – 1:35

Integrated Credits
Integrated credits may also be earned for high school graduation through completion of some Mid-Maine TECH courses. Prior approval from a guidance counselor must be obtained before seeking academic credit. Students who pass the academic requirements and technical program receive two credits for their technical program and one credit in fine arts, math, or science. Refer to the following course descriptions for details.

Dual Enrollment
Formal agreements with community colleges provide Mid-Maine TECH students with the opportunity to earn college credits through Mid-Maine TECH courses of study. Students in eligible courses are simultaneously enrolled in Mid-Maine TECH and Community College. Upon completion of course requirements, students are issued a college transcript in addition to their high school grade reports.

Accreditation
All courses at Mid-Maine Technical Center are accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges and have achieved National Program Certification. Courses are distributed among 4 Technical Teams: Construction, Service, Mechanical, and Technology.

Electrical Technology
The Electrical Technology program follows a nationally certified curriculum endorsed by CONTREN. This multifaceted program teaches the basics of electricity as well as advanced electrical technology. This program prepares the student for success in such career and post secondary educational fields as: residential or commercial electrician, and electrical engineering.

Computer Aided Drafting
The Computer Aided Drafting program is a comprehensive, project-based program that will prepare students for work and post-secondary education in Architecture, Engineering, and other occupations which utilize drafting skills. The curriculum, using Chief Architect software, meets national standards and help students master the fundamentals of the design and drawing process.
