Teachers for Maine Loan Program
Eligibility: Any senior or college student pursuing a teaching career. Students are eligible for loans for $3000 per year (maximum $12,000). These loans can be forgiven by teaching in a Maine school. One year of teaching cancels out one year of loan. Graduate students are eligible for $1500/yr (maximum $6,000).

Thomas J. Landers Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior majoring in Law Enforcement in any 2 or 4 year program. Selection based on scholastic achievement and financial need.

Toyota Community Scholar Program
Eligibility: A senior who has an outstanding academic record, is an effective leader, and a well-documented record of service both within and outside the school setting.

VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship
Eligibility: Any high school student. Must submit a selected topic, 3-5 minute audio essay on cassette. Scholarships are available at all levels of competition. State winner receives an all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. The first place national winner receives a $20,000 scholarship.

W. Scott Reid Scholarship Fund – Order of Odd Fellows
Eligibility: Any Maine senior planning to attend a Maine institution and majoring in the field of nursing. Must have at least a B average “generally students will be expected to maintain 2.9 average on a 4.0 scale”.

WBRC Architects-Engineers Centennial Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior who has been accepted to a 2 or 4 yr. post-secondary educational institution with a major in architecture or engineering. Student must have displayed good citizenship through participation in school and community activities. The recipient must have at least a 2.5 GPA

Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship

Waterville Sunrise Rotary Club
Eligibility: Any senior accepted to an accredited college or technical school demonstrating financial need with passing grades in all subjects through high school. Must also have participated in community service.

Award: $1,000 to one student from Lawrence, Messalonskee, Waterville or Winslow High School

Waterville Woman’s Association Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior residing in the Greater Waterville Area who has been accepted by an accredited institution. Applicants to Maine schools are given first consideration. Must demonstrate financial need.

“Will to Win” Asthma Athlete Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior with Asthma who has achieved excellence both in competitive sports and scholastically, and who is enrolling in an accredited four-year institution. Other criteria considered include leadership qualities and extra-curricular activities.

Winslow Community Federal Credit Union

Bucknell University Kenneth G. Langone Scholarship
Eligibility: Any applicant who has demonstrated ambition, contributions to the family and/or community, creativity, determination, integrity, loyalty and steadfastness, initiative and enthusiasm for life. Must have financial need.

CMTC Maine Machine Products Co. Scholarship for Machine Tool Technology
Eligibility: Any senior or home schooler who has been accepted at Central Maine Technical College in the Machine Tool Program. Award recipient must agree to a work study program at Maine Machine Products Co. while in school and accept a position with MMPC for at least eighteen months after graduation.
