Barking Foundation Scholarship
Eligibility: Any Maine senior with financial need pursuing an accredited degree program.
Apply: Application form (www.barkingfoundation.org) essay, two letters of recommendation, statement of financial need, FAFSA, statement of unmet need from college, and transcript.

Best Buy Scholarship
Eligibility: Senior who is planning on entering into an accredited college who has volunteer and work experience.

Big Sun Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior engaged in a sport

Bob Elliot - Channel 8 Journalism Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior planning on majoring in journalism, communications or a related field of study.

Award: $1,500 to one senior in WMTW viewing area.
Deadline: received by 5:00 p.m. on March 24
Boys & Girls Club and YMCA
Eligibility: Any senior who is a present or past member of the Alfond Youth Center and has been accepted into higher education.
Apply: Application form, essay, three letters of references
Award: $500 paid after completion of 1st semester

Burger King Scholars
Eligibility: Any senior enrolling in a two or four year college, demonstrating financial need, who works an average of 15 hours per week, demonstrates community service, GPA of 2.5 to 3.5

Eligibility: Any senior majoring in any area of wildlife conservation (wildlife law enforcement, forestry, biology, management, etc.).
Apply:Write a brief resume outlining future endeavors and past experiences. Include an official transcript.
Award: up to $1000

Business Education Association of Maine Scholarships
Eligibility: Anyone majoring in Business Education or any child/ward of a Business Education Teacher (BEAM member).
Apply:Application form, transcript, 2 letters of recommendation and 2 appraisals.
Award: $500 for 2 (1 in Bus. Ed; 1 child/ward)

Caroline & Dana Sturtevant Scholarship
Eligibility: Any graduating senior or a recent graduate who is a resident of Maine furthering their education. Non-traditional students are encouraged to apply.

Cecilia Club of Augusta Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior pursuing a music education in college. An audition will be required.

Central Maine Fire Attack School Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior pursuing a career in fire service, emergency medical service or a medical field. Must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above in college.
Apply:Application form, essay and two letters of recommendation.
Award: $500

xxx - Chevrolet Michelle Kwan R.E.W.A.R.D.S. Scholarship - xxx
Eligibility: Any female senior possessing a GPA of 3.2 or higher with demonstrated athletic excellence, leadership, community involvement/volunteerism, and financial need who will be continuing her education and athletics in college.
Apply:Application, 2 specific letters of recommendation, essay, transcript.
Award: $5000 payable over 4 years with renewal

China Area Business Betterment Association Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior who has been a resident of Albion, China, Vassalboro, Windsor or Palermo for at least one year and who is pursuing any degree that will be used in business (see examples in guideline). Must have maintained at least a “C” average. Selection will be based on academic achievement, financial need, service to school/community, goals statement and letter of recommendation.

Class of 1939 Winslow High School Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior.

Class of 1944 Winslow High School Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior.

Award: $1000 for two students

Class of 2008 Winslow High School Scholarship
Eligibility: Senior who is going on to a 2 or 4 yr. program who has a GPA of 3.0 or better, have competed 30 hours of community service, and have been involved in 2 extra-curricular activities.
Apply:Application form, two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from your community service group.
Award: $250

Clyde Russell Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: Any Maine senior planning on attending an accredited institution. Consideration will cover personal traits and qualities, academic ability and motivation, extra-curricular activities, community activities, personal goals and objectives. Also separate scholarships are available for current college students and citizens of Maine pursuing further educational/cultural opportunities.
Apply:Application form, goals statement, four specific letters of recommendation, official transcript and personal interview.
Award: Up to $10,000

CMP Group Scholarship
Eligibility: Any senior who is a dependent of CMP or CMP subsidiary employees or retirees who resides within CMP’s service area and is enrolled at an accredited 2 or 4 year institution. Must show personal aspirations, academic achievement, financial need and contribution to school and involvement in community activities.

Coca Cola National Scholarship
Eligibility: Any graduating senior with high academic achievement (a GPA of 3.0 or better) and school/community service.

Commitment to Agriculture Scholarship Program
Eligibility: A graduating senior whose family is actively engaged in production agriculture and pursuing a career in agriculture.

Cora & Everett B. Harris
Eligibility: Any graduating senior from Winslow, Messalonskee, Lawrence or Waterville High Schools who has been accepted by an accredited college or university in Maine . Must have need of financial aid and show scholastic promise.
