841 Child Care Aide - (S) - Credit 1
This course covers the development
of the child from three to ten years. Investigations of methods
used in working with children along with labs, observations and
actual work with children at the elementary schools are used. Information
on various child care services, speakers, films and projects will
be included. Students interested in education and child care service
careers are encouraged to participate.

842 Senior Seminar - (S) - Credit ½
This course is designed to provide a review
of students in some basic living skills. It is a multi-disciplinary
approach using community and school resources. Students will take
away from class a portfolio of activities and materials as well
as a list of resources that could be used by them as they become
independent householders. Some of the topics covered will be relationships,
family life, consumerism, money management, career preparation and
legal services.
902 Health – (S) – Credit ½
Health is a requirement for all
9th grade students. The course covers ten content
areas: community health, consumer health, environmental health,
family life education, personal, mental and emotional health, prevention
and control of disease and disorders, safety and accident prevention,
substance use and abuse.
