This course is designed to teach word processing
using Microsoft Word, a spreadsheet program using Microsoft Excel,
and a presentation graphics program using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Work will be done on IBM compatible computers. This course will
be applied toward graduation requirements in computer fluency.
631 Accounting I - Credit 1
Sophomores, juniors and seniors only
This course is designed to teach the student
how to sort, record and summarize financial information in an orderly
and systematic way. Study progresses from a sole proprietorship
to a partnership to a corporation. It includes columnar journals,
special journals, ledgers, adjusting and closing entries, work sheets
and financial statements. Working with payroll and processing information
using the computer are also covered. Simulations using the accounting
cycle for a fiscal period are completed. Calculators are provided
for class work. This course may be applied toward graduation requirements
in mathematics.  |
